Re: Modern Automotive Performance
Even with a camera in the showroom, we're still missing people walk in at times. The configuration currently is far from ideal. I know that's only a small part of your complaint, but it will be resolved with our new building. We're always looking for ways to improve.

Re: Modern Automotive Performance
I've made a few transaction with MAP in the past. Walked in and nobody there to help me for around 10-15 minutes. Very cool and nice guys though. Everything was great except for waiting. Their engine room had a ton of engines in it! I haven't been there for a few years so I don't know how it's like now.

Aww shucks pat...making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside with your kindness...and I'm not even a sales rep!
I think the wait time has a lot to do with building design. I know our sales guys are constantly on the phone helping others (hard for myself to talk face to face with them sometimes lol), which leads to them not seeing walk ins, but wait time does seem to be a running trend. I'd help more if I wasn't up in my shipping cave, but the new baller building should help move towards less wait time, and less frustration. We obviously strive to help out the community as much as possible, so any negative review is tough on our end. Butthurt I don't think is the right descriptive term lol.

Haha, well I can tell you, that you are not the only one that isn't excited about it. People in the east metro are prob happy as clams! If only we could have one shop on each side of the cities...
Or you can do what I'm doing to cut down on commute...relocate LOL.

I know most of your business is online. If you have a forward facing counter, you should always have someone there - just in case. If you can't have someone there, have the door locked and have a buzzer or door bell.
Just a little friendly advice. No other comments from me.

I agree, the new location sucks for me too, damn it all! Plymouth is like 5 mins from work and in between work and home for me, perfect.

Re: Modern Automotive Performance
I've had to wait for a bit too, not a big deal IMO. If you're feeling impatient there's always the service bell on the desk
And I definitely agree with having guys there that you deal with exclusively.

Re: Modern Automotive Performance
lol What's the point of posting company reviews/experiences if the reviewer always gets so much crap for posting a bad one?
Is this your review thread? No? Start your own and post your review there. Don't get all butt-hurt because someone shared a negative experience

Pete, I do have a front facing counter which is also Daelen's assigned workstation. However, all it takes is a phone call or walk in customer with a request that Daelen needs to look into and he could be gone for several minutes. The camera and bell are supposed to be secondary. I have a feeling the majority of these complaints were from when Nick's workstation was at the front, as the service writer he was constantly away from his desk.

Re: Modern Automotive Performance
Chris, maybe you need a really hot receptionist that is required to wear a MAP bikini, She doesnt even need to help anyone, and people will be complaining that the wait times arent long enough. Sex sells chris... sex sells.

Agreed! Back in the day there was a smoking hot chick who worked at the Autozone near my parents' house; she was dumb as a rock and had zero knowledge when it came to parts, but damn was she fantastic eye candy!
