The bad topend on Mara's SC61 had to do with the intake pipe in front of the turbo. This is after fixing the intake problem and some other changes(
http://www.mitsustyle.com/forums/att...2&d=1285892300 ), but a better comparison of the turbo potential, it wasn't the SC61s fault for the old bad powerband.
His divided T4 housing should help spoolup a decent amount, but his exhaust manifold runners are on the big side and his cam has no low end, so those are probably hurting his spool up. You can have the same turbo on the same size motor spool 1500 RPMs different from one car to another depending on things like exhaust manifold, cams, intake manifold, cam gear settings, fuel used, etc.
His clutch slipped bad enough for the RPMs to shoot to revlimiter a couple times, so we had to keep the boost/power down some.
