Legal advice wanted on recent car purchase

Yea I thought it was pretty crazy to do what he did as well and let me have the car without giving him all the money. Well since this guy is on the not so smart side and lied about the dsmlink at the time of delivery, it seems it would be in his best interest to deliver on the stated item. Just be careful what you do. I know you are not the shady one here, and trying to get what you thought you were getting.
