Where exactly does it say that? They
executed a search warrant for unknown (to us) reasons. They
charged him with a misdemeanor.
Unless we know the specifics of what the warrant was for and why it was issued we can't draw any conclusions about what "the law" did or did not do. I don't believe that you can have a warrant issued for a misdemeanor offense. However, if you' like me to confirm that with my brother, I will be happy to do so.
