Just as an update to this, I decided to top it off with E85 just to see what would happen. I put in just over a gallon and the result was that it completely eliminated the knock caused by the shitty holiday fuel.
Now I'm not recommending this, it was just an experiment with my POS Colt. I have no tuning equipment but I'm assuming it runs a bit rich with the factory unhacked 1G MAS.
