Re: tranny help

Where would one get a Mitsu manual? A dealer? Anywhere else? I would like a fresh tranny for the fresh rebuild but I dont want a $1000+ Shep price tag to go with it.

Mitsu manuals can be bought at the dealer like you said, but I got the one for my old Laser on eBay. Rebuilding a trans is a tedious task though if you dont know what you are doing. Even the mitsu manual will leave you a little confused if you havent done it before. Something like that requires more than basic hand tools and some experience.

Re: tranny help

I believe TRE has a budget rebuild that is under 1000$. Usually during the change of seasons they have a sale going on. You can do a budget exchange or a rebuild for around 1000. Not too sure on sheps prices. Check them both out and compare. Or, if you have an existing loan, take out a loan on top of that one for a little more, I did this, payments only went up 20$. Granted I will be paying for a little longer. TRE also sells the OEM mitsu parts for trans. I bought a TRE stage 2, butter.
