Actually, most states do require them, I think there are only like 14-15 that dont require them. Are they that anal about front plates down here? Back in Bemidji, I've been driving my Cavalier around for 4 years with no front plate and even the 3 times I've been pulled over they didnt say anything. Also my buddy Eric doesnt have a front plate on the Del Sol hes been driving for several years and several pull overs, nothing said then either. Running one plate on each car has its perks though. I only have to buy one set of tabs
