BIG thanks to Steve Hill!!

About a week ago I asked Steve to find me a car. All I wanted was 4 doors, 4 cylinders, reliable, and imported! A week later he called me up and told me he had picked up a 1990 Galant LS. Today I went and picked it up and, so far, I couldn't be happier!! She runs and drives beautifully, and looks pretty damn good for being 16 years old! I'll take some pics of it tomorrow! So BIG thanks to Steve!

Awesome, ya Steve really knows how to pick out those Galants! I'm still happy with mine as well that I picked up from him last summer a year ago. Any pics?

Nope, didn't really get a chance to take any yet, but I will tomorrow!

I think it took him less than a week to find the van for my mom. Excellent service.

Yup, took him only a few days to find me a VERY reliable NT 1G a while back, and that car is still going today with Mark's brother. Then I picked up my Jeep from him, always get it done.

Thanks guys and Tauni, it's always a bit of a crapshoot with cars especially when they're older and have some miles, but I try to look things over as best I can and pass along a good deal. I told Tauni yesterday she'll have to come back and pick up a turbo motor next year and we'll get that car done up right. ;)

Re: BIG thanks to Steve Hill!!

It's a SOHC 2.0L, which I didn't know they had until the guy looked it up at the oil change place. I'm guessing it's the standard 2.0L NT block with the 1.8 head on it. I'll build her a 2.7L and hang a T88 off of it. That'll get up and move.

Re: BIG thanks to Steve Hill!!

i am intrested in this 2.7L do you have any info on it?

Goat Blower 11-11-2006 04:36 PM

Re: BIG thanks to Steve Hill!!

Sorry, the 2.7L is a joke among some of the guys that have been around the DSM scene for a while. Theoretically it's possible with a stockish block, but except for one running example I've heard of, it doesn't exist. And most likely that example never existed either. I will be looking to get close to that though with a few experiments, but that's a ways off.

Hey Steve, I don't have a front liscense plate? Is that supposed to happen?

Kracka 11-12-2006 10:45 AM

Re: BIG thanks to Steve Hill!!

^Yeah, Steve steals the front-plate off all of his cars and then sells them back to you....thats how he makes the real $$$ ;)

What?

Actually, most states do require them, I think there are only like 14-15 that dont require them. Are they that anal about front plates down here? Back in Bemidji, I've been driving my Cavalier around for 4 years with no front plate and even the 3 times I've been pulled over they didnt say anything. Also my buddy Eric doesnt have a front plate on the Del Sol hes been driving for several years and several pull overs, nothing said then either. Running one plate on each car has its perks though. I only have to buy one set of tabs :).

Re: BIG thanks to Steve Hill!!

No, it should have both plates. If the other plate isn't in the trunk somewhere, I'll get you a new set of plates along with the tabs. You're fine for now with the 21-day temp tag.
