You're the one who started this thread "crying" about your front plate ticket. Nothing like this would have started if you hadn't just put your tail between your legs and paid the ticket without telling the world about it first.

I didnt get a ticket last time cuz Im white and had a white cop... yeah right.. get a clue man. The cop did his job and you want him to "Stick up for you" because your both the same race?? Sounds like ya need a brita filter, cuz I think theres something in your water...

You ask why WE are making the race card a big thing?? How about because everytime anyone who gets pulled over or has ANYTHING to do with the law who isnt caucasion think its RACE related.. Has NOTHING to do with the crack in their pockets or the kids they just waved guns at.. its because there racist.. yup..

I would have fought the no front plate ticket if I got it in a parking lot. Unless the officer saw your car on a public highway he wouldn't have been able to ticket you.

Geee's that sucks.
Back in Oct. just after the dealer put the plates on the EVO MR, we were driving in St.Paul, got pulled over for not having a front plate. We said to the cop "The dealer didn't put it on and besides there is no mounting braket on the front bumper, came from the factory like that! He said doesn't matter, so he gave us a fix-it ticket. So had to put on the front plate.

The easiest way to get out of this ticket would be to go to court and tell them that the bracket broke and you were waiting for another one. Being that you werent driving it will be easy to get out of.

Ha. Funny. I JUST got a parking ticket a few minutes ago for no front plates. I saw the lady outside when I was walking in the living room and she walked to my car threw the ticket on my windshield and took off before I could talk to her. I took off the plates because a screw fell off so it was dangling on one screw so I went inside with the plates too look for a screw that would fit and what do I know I get a fucken ticket for it. I better get out of this one. It was off for no more than 15 minutes!!! Talk about bad timing!

I just got him with a $112 no front plate ticket in Dinkytown about 2 weeks ago on the S2000. Sucks, but nobody said lookin' good is cheap! LOL I have no intentions on putting the plate on, I'll just have to be more careful where I park (i.e. no meters on the street, I'll stick to pay-lots and ramps).

Last time I got asked about the no front plate...I said it fell off. And I was going to fix it the next day. But eh...from now on...I am going to have the front plate on it...regardless if it is ass looking or not.

I've been lucky so far, hell I've been behind a state trooper while he was trying to find my plate to run it (I could see the confused look in his face). I'm sure since I just typed this I'll get pwned before I put the car up for the winter.

I've had two tickets for this, super easy to get out of if you want to.

I made the same decision as Chris, I stick to lots and ramps, unless I absolutely have to use a meter. And if I do, I make sure to pay more than enough.

The only time I've gotten tickets for this was in St Paul, never in Mpls or on the highway.

Yeah they are easy to get out of, I'm just thinking it may not be worth the hassle to me since I'd have to take time off work to get to court. I got out of one once before with my Talon. Hmmm....maybe I should take a half-day and try to save the $112.

License plate is a soar spot on your car. One could argue that it restricts flow from your FMIC! haha. It's 98 dollars. If you drive a DSM, 98 bucks aint shit because you spend that fixing it every week! Use the plate, pay the ticket.. or pay the ticket and continue not using the plate! Not a hard concept.

I'd go into court and say " Look your honor, that license plate slows down the flow to my FMIC causing it to lack some degree of driveability" ( it probably doesn't at all LOL.) Then ask where another good location would be to have it since you're concerned about it's previous location. This is where he will tell you it has to be on the front side of your front bumper facing straight ahead with nothing blocking it. ( IE Not in your windshield or w/e). Then inform him that you are going to put it where he said. That's where he says " pay the 98 dollars, you're not getting out of it." or possibly.. "Make sure it goes on and stays on and we will dismiss this"

A judge won't give a shit about your FMIC, and its not a $98 ticket, its $112. I hope you weren't refering to me when talking about FMIC or saying not to bitch about getting the ticket.

I got the same ticket in Minneapolis after painting my car (I filled the holes in my bumper). I just fabbed a bracket, put it back on and the ticket was dropped. No big deal.

The thing with mine was that I JUST took off the plate to get another screw to screw back into the front bumper since I found it hanging by one screw. Then I come back a while later only to find out I've got a ticket! I was fixing it, that's why it was off. Eh, very bad timing. Oh well...I'm going to argue this one, the plates are back on with 4 new screws and still looks ugly.

Tickets are SOOOO easy to get out of! All you need to do is take the time to go down and talk to a hearing officer any time after your ticket is in the system. Ive had like 3 tickets dropped and 3-4 lowerd in price just for going in there. The guys are really nice too. For my front plate ticket he asked if it was on my car now and I said YES and he said well alright, then I left. Took no more then 20 min(sometimes you have to wait).

lucky my they they just gave me a fix it ticket. I through on the plate a had to show a cop that I fixed it, or it was like 120 I think.

I may not be that intelligent, but I'm not THAT dumb. So no amusement for you
