Ticketed for no front license plate
 

How ironic ey? Awhile back, I posted and asked if you guys put up your front license plate. Just 2 days ago, or on Wednesday when I got back from school. I parked my car infront of the house by the street. We have a driveway, but I just parked in the street. I went outside later on to shovel the snow and notice something on the windshield wiper. It was a god damn freaken ticket!!! :mad:

And it was written up from a Asian police officer because I recognize the last name. Man! Talk about sticking up for your own people huh? :confused: Anyways, I'm kind of pissed off about it. Ticked for $98.00 I'm going to plead not guilty and make up some story and try to get something out of it. SIgh* I hate cops!

On the other hand, as long as I got ticketed when I wasn't driving the car. My record is just outstanding. I'm sure you can figure out the rest.

lol. I thought about leaving my front plate off. Not anymore! haha. Make up a bs excuse and say it was parked. haha. Ninety-Eight bucks for that...man.

I have the same issue, but it was for my tabs I plead not gulity and got it waived since I had the paper work. Anyway that suck to have to spend $98.00 on something that not a mod.

Just because he's asian and the cop is asian doesn't mean shit. I see white people get busted by white cops all the time. Ya, I hate it when people pull the race card. That is a bummer though that you got a ticket. But race has nothing to do with it. I moved back here from FL and AZ, both which required no license plate up front, so I had to get used to having one on the front of my talon. I wasn't about to drill holes in the bumper, so I just ziptied it down in a corner of the front bumper.

Any time your on a public street "your at risk"- parked, driving it does not matter.
I would advise against fighting it.

Welcome to Minnesota where it is the law to have a front and rear license plate. If you dont have one dont bitch when you get a ticket.

So can't you just put the front plate back on the car and go talk to the judge? Honesty might get you somewhere....or it might cost you $98.

I would atleast try that. You're gonna have to pay $98, unless you try and see what happens. Atleast that ticket isnt as bad as a traffic ticket.

That sucks that they can give you a ticket for that even if you aren't driving.

What if you were going to the store to get some bolts to put on your front license plate, and while out at the store driving another car, you got that ticket.

Just seems weird to me...

Man! Why you guys making this whole "race" thing so big. Yea, sure I mentioned it, but I ain't crying about it. It was just a thought that came to my mind and just thought I write it down as well but I'm not going all over the place crying how he's an asian cop ticketing me, an asian guy, up and $hit. So just chill you guys, seriously! Moderators, sorry, didn't mean to make this thread into an arguement.

Yeah man that sucks, I remember one nite at McDonalds in AV(that is the car hangout place down here) A cop wrote out like 10-15 tickets for that(I wasnt one of them). I got a seatbelt ticket like two months age and it was $101 bucks, I just paid it and moved on with my life.
