Re: E85

And a time bomb for lines to just disapear on you.

It does eat up the DSM gas lines, but it takes some time. If you want, run the fuel, or about a 1/4 tank to find out. If it is bad you can always pump the tank and just run a little rough for a while. It won't mess up your O2 sensor, they had a few bad batches when it first started coming out that scared everyone away. They had too much water in it, and was fouling up O2 sensors even on vehicles equiped to run it.

Re: E85

From what I understand e85 will take a long ass time to corrode lines and dry out seals. It isnt nearly as corrosive as Methanol but since they are both alchohols people tend to associate them both as a big no no for stock fuel systems.

Re: E85

Main problem is tuning, it will probably break some seal on these older DSM's with stock lines and O-rings. But for the normal, or "New" parts. You should have some time on them.

Talking on another form about running a N/A car with E-85 for hp gains.... can we say 11:1 compresion ratio?

11:1 isn't that high for an import. S2000s come stock at 11:1 compression ratio and add boost to those on pump gas. I have tuned 12.5:1 compression dail driven pump gas Honda's before. The gain from going that high really isn't worth it though. The power returns diminish more and more as you go higher and higher.
