Re: My Gst

You should almost get some more power to that engine before a brake upgrade. After all, that is one of the few things Mitsu/Dodge did right... the brakes, they rock

He has the small single piston front calipers, Mitsu hardly got those right.

Do you believe everything everyone tells you? By the way and just out of pure curiosity, how old are you?

Re: My Gst

yea, i dont have the money to add alot of power. the next thing im getting done to the engine is getting it machined. nos is cheap power, but im not goin to go that way. maybe just bulid up the internals and try to pump 18 or so psi out of the 16g?

Re: My Gst

So how exactly will machining the engine be beneficial?

Why do you need a "built internals" to handle 18psi out of the 16G?

Re: My Gst

im kind of uneasy pushing that with 117000 miles on the engine. machining it, just the same, i know someone reputable who will do it, and the mileage makes me uneasy about adding more power. one of my friends suggested i consider geting it machined

Re: My Gst

Okay Okay everyone.. settle down.. How long have you owned a dsm? if this is your first one and some of that stuff was done to it before you bought it you need to do a few things first.. 1. DSMtuners.com VFAQ.. That's it. If you need something else to read i strongly suggest the dsmtuners.com upgrade Path. There seems to be alot that you can do to see power gains before you go ahead and strip the motor.. Check my noob post and take a look at my mod list. I'm not gonna bench race but on the stock t25 I felt considerably more power with those performance mods. Now i'm going to strap a HUGE FMIC and 50 trim turbo to the 7 bolt.(i have a 6 bolt waiting for a rebuild). If your gonna rip the engine just rebuild a 6 bolt and be worry free. Mod Smart and you can make power no problem..
