It's been a while since I've posted here about it, things have been going good with it.

And then this happens,...

Lost oil pressure, had to find out why.
No metal on magnetic drain plug, no metal in oil filter. Engine was not knocking before taking it out. Hoping it's something simple in the oil pump/pan.

Nothing looks torn up, had 4psi at idle, 20psi above idle so it never starved for oil.

Found oil pressure relief piston stuck open, touched it with a small screw driver and it popped closed.

Needless to say, that Melling pump isn't going back in.

I've been meaning to say, I thought I saw a link to your car pop-up on Facebook posted by Murder Nova.

Ouch! Glad you caught it in time, hopefully no issues getting it back in.

I decided to install the correct oil pan for the engine this time around, instead of the correct oil pan for the chassis.

So,.....

That thing looks bad ass from the rear with those wide tires. Nice frame work too. I've got a 66 chevy caprice that had a frame crack in the belly that made my bb sage down, I should have fixed it like you did!

Here are a couple, I finished a full restoration about 8 years ago. It looks better in and out then when it rolled off the assembly line. It's a cruiser on air bags, it has the original 396 block with a mild roller hydraulic cam with 10.5:1 compression pistons and edelbrock polished rpm heads/intake.
