Revs quick for such a big engine!

That Pro-Systems carb works very well. That's out the box.

I forgot to post pics of the installed radiator and cooling fans. Fits well and looks great.

Installed a new Stewart Stage II cooling pump this weekend.
Very well made and not that expensive as compared to others (Edelbrock :angryfire:).

Took a quick look inside and found a nice cast impeller instead of stamped steel.

If you're having cooling issues, wonder if it might help to have a shroud for the rad/fan?

Looking badass though man!

The radiator and fans fixed the heat soaking which occurred while driving at cruise/higher speeds. I'm seeing roughly 3400-3500rpm at 60-65mph.
Those are the Zirgo Ultra Performance ZFU14S fans. They pull almost 2800cfm each.

The pump was an original GM cast iron unit which is under driven a good bit and didn't pump enough at idle, causing heat creep sitting in traffic.

So the rad/fans fixed the cruise temps issue and the pump fixed the extended idle issue while shaving a few pounds off the front of the car.

Such a clean engine bay, I like. Glad to hear the heat issues are resolved.

Whoa, sexy.

I'm still for an LSx and a set of big hairdryers though.

Whoa, sexy.

I'm still for an LSx and a set of big hairdryers though.

It was a hard decision not to go that route. My biggest concern was about adding weight to the front end (turbos, heavy manifolds, intercooler, piping, etc.). Right now I'm at 56/44 split to the front. Any more weight that shifts the balance to a heavier front end would only make it harder to hook up. I've seen several LS swaps into muscle cars and they just look out of place so I decided to stay BBC. Nothing sounds like big cubes with a big cam.

But, if I ever get the itch, there's enough nice parts in this one that dropping the compression ratio and a cam change could allow for some serious powa!

Imagine a 582 on boost!!
