The drift problem is more due to the 1G not having a sensor/trigger wheel on the crank, and just one on the cam, which is effected by belt stretch/slack.

Quick update:
I finished off the dash last week by adding a USB bulkhead connector to make it easy to interface with my laptop.

I'm also going to remove the AVCO rear swaged tube lower control arms. They broke on the dyno last time and I just replaced the broken ones with the same Afco replacements. I would like to dyno the car at some point, so I need to beef up the lower control arm to handle the additional load due to how it is strapped down to the dyno.
old ones:

To insure that this doesn’t happen again I ordered 1.25” diameter, .120 wall, 4130 tubing and weld in inserts for the female threading. I’m also replacing the cheap Afco heim joints with some QA1 Teflon / Kevlar heat treated heim joints to remove any play in the joint. I’ll snap a pic when all is finished up. I have an alignment appointment Friday to dial everything back in.

Did you weigh before/after? That must have added at least a few ounces! :(

Yep a little safety weight added, +3lbs, I weighed them but the scale is not the most accurate thing in the world. No biggie, a lot of weight came out of the car this year, it's very light now!

Any progress on this beast? Done any tuning yet with the 4 widebands?

Yeah it’s been a little while since my last update. The car would breakup at 4K RPM and 6K RPM super bad. I couldn’t even get a full pull in at the lowest boost level. The culprit was that I converted to that Kiggley 12 tooth crank trigger wheel and the cam sensor was not adjusted correctly. The signals were overlapping and the cam signal was very very close to a crank signal event. At 4K and 6K the signal would overlap causing ignition errors. I think it was due timing belt harmonics??
I also put back in my wideband in the down pipe, since I don’t fully trust the readings of the individual widebands yet. They are all off from one another by almost a full point of AFR! Also they seem to be a little nonlinear at idle. So to gain confidence in their readings I need to play around by swapping injectors around and seeing if AFR’s track to the change or remain the same and then do the same with the widebands themselves. Lots of BS to prove it out.
I also just added a 2G VSS sending unit, so I can control my 2-step on launch vs. gear to gear shifting. Both John and I have seen lazy recovery times when the 2step kicked in between our shifts at the track.
And to wrap it up I’m planning on bringing the car to BIR this weekend for its maiden voyage down the track! I'm going to be forced to enter it in King Street due to it being too light for Unlimited Street. Lots of changes this year, I'm crossing my fingers that don't have any major bugs to work out. I just want a good clean pass deep in the 9's or maybe even 8's who knows!

Good luck with it all, interesting to hear about the timing error's at 4/6k.
