Like I said, Id be happy to help organize events, but it seems to be only a couple people that want to do it, and they keep it secretive.

I wish it was more of a group effort to organize these events, but its not. And this is why Im asking about the costs involved here.

Last springs cruise went just fine, no one got lost, my car got thrown up in, it was a dandy time. Just trying to make a point, but only a couple people see it.

I don't really understand what we are keeping a secret. It seems like Scheides and I are posting an update in one for or another every few days and keeping people updated on what we're doing regarding the cruise. The exact route is kept under wraps, but that is for the good of everybody to help avoid intruders and possible police intervention.

How could organizing a cruise be more of a group event? I'd love to see 50 people gather in a room (or on a forum) and accomplish anything productive that everyone agreed upon. Everyone knows about the costs involved, Scheides and I aren't hiding anything and its not like we were getting hookers on 'Style dollars while down in LaCrosse planning stuff.

We had numerous issues last spring with cars getting separated and trying to wait for everyone; these packets help to avoid all of that.

The spring cruise was great! I loved it as did most people, but there is always room for improvement which is exactly why I asked Scheides to help me in planning beginning last fall.

If you want to organize an event, why don't you just organize an event. I can understand why people like to keep the organization groups small. 2 people may like one particular route and the other people in the planning group may like another one. Then it becomes an internal pissing match of what to do.

The reason for some sort of secrecy is that in planning an event like this someone is always going to have their .02 on how it should be run. Try setting up an event and telling your possibly attendees EVERY SINGLE DETAIL. Some people will say, "AWESOME!!!" Others will say, "THAT IS STUPID!!!" Then you will have the people in the middle saying "It'd be better if we did this...". Secrecy in this aspect prevents conflict. Now when you attend this cruise, and if you still don't like it, then plan your own cruise and make it out to be how you wanted.

Personally I'm just glad that someone else goes through setting everything up and says what, where, when, why and who.

Everyone knows about the costs involved, Scheides and I aren't hiding anything and its not like we were getting hookers on 'Style dollars while down in LaCrosse planning stuff.

Are you really sure you want La Crosse hookers? ;)

Instead of $5 can i just donate a box of donut holes?

Only if they are Dunkin Donut brand or equivalent!

Lets say I rent a bus and everyone piles in it. So I have 40 people in my bus splitting $5 equals twelve and a half cents per person. Does that work too?

That is acceptable. But, now you are faced with the problem of who to make pay $.12 and $.13 in your group, or, are you going to ask everyone to pay $.13 and skim the $.20 off the top to put in your own pocket as profit?

I will be using the buddy system so it will only be twenty-five cents a couple or as I like to call it, a team. That way I won't have to worry about twelve vs thirteen cents.

What happens when the 400lb dude on the bus who takes up two spots? He is probably going to bitch that he has to pay $.25 by himself!!!

Where can you rent a bus for $5? You going to pay out of pocket to rent this bus?

Don't ask, he is probably on the corner now bribing some homeless man with a half-eaten rotten cheeseburger to go steal him a city bus.

You are all in luck. I should rent the "Orange Tiger" and throw a kegger on it on the way to La Crosse. I will add a fee on top of the $0.125 fee charged by the cruise planners. I haven't decided how much yet but $20.125 sounds fair to me. I will have a keg of PBR and as you can see in the link, there will be mood lighting, yes folks thats right, mood lighting. Also since we won't need to stop for potty breaks, we will beat all of the Evos and Dsmers to La Crosse, plus have a good buzz going too.

Well if the 40 people on the bus each threw in an extra .05 he could bribe the homeless person with $2. Thats a 40oz right there to hold him over for the night!
