I had the problem with him doing a retarded exhaust system and a few bolts here and there missing from my motor. Took twice as long as he said, and wanted his money before he completed the job.
Got it back, but wasn't too happy for blowing 2400+ on this shit.
But yeah, he needs to just stop fucking around with people and tell them. I understand family problems, but phones are very common in many places. First thing is I'd be on the phone talking to my customer, working something out, instead of vanishing.
But, I'll leave it at that.

seeing as myself and boxxy have invested over 12k into his "shop" I would like to find out where he is as well. He told us his phone got lost in early july, yet his girlfriend said to boxxy just last week that he lost it two weeks ago. People have been pming me that they are recieving texts from jake from the phone number I have been calling, and he litterally has been lying up a storm from the start of things. this is rediculous....

Seeing that you're in California, how did you make a business connection with him? I've never seen him advertise anywhere?

he contacted me, he saw me talking about wanting to build a new block and stuff and talked me into it. I wasn't able to find anything negative about him on the internet, and after talking to him, it appeared that he really knew these cars very well. I assumed that due to the fact that most scammers don't take the time to research heavily the things they are scamming, he wasn't a scammer. He also was very up front and comunative up until AFTER the money was sent. I had been talking to him for months and months before any agreements were made, and I felt assured that he wasn't going to pull up and disappear, as did everyone else on the dsmchat aim chat room. afterwords I found out about martin and such.

Yea I have been that exact way with jake. Great guy, I talked to him online for months before I ever agreed to anything. The thing with me is I've done a fair amount of business with jake and it's all be nothing but great work. This is a first for him to but out and leave like this.

Ok, where is he 'visiting' up in the cities....why don't we find out the specific address, and go see if he's there. There's plenty of people around the cities, I don't mind getting involved.

We can all pile into the back of the LSE truck, and it'll be just like Bounty Hunter!

He's out in Washington camping with his buddy Mike in his RV.

They're talking about Mike Thomas, aka Raptor, and also a con-artist. You're too young to remember the deal with him and Quick Precision Racing.
