accident

So bald tires suck... I had no money to buy new tires... Grandma helps me out.

On the way to get new tires from tires plus... I slide out going 10 into the back of soem ass hole who thinks slamming the brakes in the winter on a on ramp is a good idea. So my door is fucked from my drift into her. I only have liability and am on risk insurance so im pretty pissed. Sitting against the guard rail in snow mad as all hell a talon (black 2g) decides to rev at me in some sort of hey im a fellow dsm'r or haha you suck. So i get out pissed as hell and talk to the girl. Turns out that the girl i hit is going to tires plus as well so we are on our way. 1 minute after taking off i am goign 20 mph on 394 because my continental extreme bald front tires and 30% rears didnt liek this weather so this new checy aveo slides out doign the speed limit rolls over the hill, through the fence, over the frotnage road, and into some dudes lawn through their nice wooden fence. So that was also my fault(kinda) but that sucked oh well. So we get there and discuss all this shit and we are settling it out of insurance so im fine but even more broke somehow(my god the banks are going to love me). So ya winter sucks and whoever that fellow dsm'r was, nice car...you shouldve helped out.

Also anyone here able to fix my door? it opens n closes but looks like ass

Hey Alex, I saw your car at Tires Plus and the guy that went over the fence on 394.. Sucked that the traffic went down to about 10mph CAUSE OF YOU lol, jk. But yeah, always a bad idea to have bald tires in Minnesota, October and on.

Re: accident

Listen I HAVE NO MONEY!!! I cant afford tires.. I was fronted them today. Not my fault the car flipped because he was goign to fast and shouildve driven to the conditions.. just because I was being slow doesnt mean its my fault. I hit the car becauase bald tires.. not because of bad driving.

Also if I saw a fellow dsm'r i would help him out on the road no questions asked. Anyway oh well. Im not selling my car even though i thought of it.. But I like it a lot and one mix up cause of bald ass conti extremes that cause me to understeer in the dry dopesnt make me a bad person.. Just wanted to share what happened and how it sucked.

Tom-welcome. Would you rather have me go 30 and spin the fuck out?

Re: accident

never said you were a bad person or anything. Just saying I would have made sure I had some tires that could perform in winter much much sooner. You have no money, so that's why you have to plan in advance. Save up some money for a few months so you can get some. But start saving in the summer, that way you'll have some tires before it snows. Hell I had some rims with tires on them for sale for pretty cheap, but no one offered anything. I'm sure you coulda afforded them. Anyhow good luck fixing it all, hope it turns out alright.

Re: accident

It is not your fault for the guy flipping over assuming you were in the appropriate lane. Some people truely are stupid and drive way too fucking fast.

And believe it or not, you DID hit the car because of bad driving. I dont give a shit how bald your tires are. If your tires are that bald, stay 200-300 feet back and EXPECT the worst of everything, ALWAYS in the winter. You have an AWD DSM, AWD being a huge advantage in the snow. I have a dropped neon that has like 2/32 on the rear tires and 4/32 on the front tires, and I have no problems driving. The tires are also cheap ass all season POS's from fleet farm or some shit. I just be cautious.

Sucks about your car, and your money problems.

Re: accident

He's probably referring to the mag nuts. Too bad he didn't know you could get them at checkers for a couple bucks. Or is there something SOOOO special about GST nuts as opposed to all others.

They had dollar signs going off in their head when you walked in. Next time, before they buy any parts for you, double check to make sure you can't get them somewhere else cheaper. I don't believe there is anything more special than just being nuts for mag wheels. They aren't like the normal acorns, they pilot thru the holes for the studs.

If I am wrong, please correct me.

Re: accident

Go to any autoparts store and you should be able to find a set of lugnuts for much cheaper than $14 a piece. Go to a Napa or Carquest where they know more than the young kids at Checker or Pep Boys.
