Hey do you guys know of any other data logging software besides MMCD... I have a palm M105 and thats what I'm currently running of it and I just don't like the interface.
Its a 92 talon AWD (so... OBD1) and thats about all info i suppose you would need for that.
let me know
thanks

Re: pocket logger
www.digitaltuning.com This is the "true" Pocket Logger software. It was by far my favorite and well worth the cost.

Re: pocket logger
Digital Tunings Pocketlogger is well worth the cost. I just downloaded version 2.03b and it has the capability of logging Wideband o2 through PLX's wideband kits. So you can log everything and now Wideband also. All you have to do is hook up one wire to the car and thats it. So for like 290 for a non display PLX unit and like 150 for Pocketlogger and a palm that is awesome.

Re: pocket logger
Than would it be better to just go with a dsmlink for a 1g?

Re: pocket logger
Well ive had the software for 2 years.. the Wideband feature is brand new thats why I downloaded it. Upgrades are free...
DSMlink you still need a wideband unit I believe, so 500 for dsmlink, 200 for a laptop, 290 for a cheap wideband kit, thats way too much money for me. Plus who wants to wip out their laptop that you cant see while driving when your on your way to work or whatever. I find having a palm on my dash in great view works just fine. And now logging will be that much better.

Don't forget the $100-300 for an AFC. I was very happy with my AFC/Logger setup, if I were to build another DSM I would do the same thing again. Having to use a laptop to tune/log seems like a real PITA to me.

Re: pocket logger
Yeah, it seems that way until you do it. Once you go that way you won't ever go back. Just like going to a WB02. It gives you so much more control that it is unbelievable.

Re: pocket logger
so what if you already have a cable and the palm, you just need software
that site didn't seem to offer just software

Yea they offer just the software, I would send them an email. Because for 125 you get the software and the cable.

Re: pocket logger
Don't forget DSMLink does a lot more than just log. You'd need an AEM EMS to match the rest of DSMLink's features. It's worth the money if you ask me, but I also agree that the Pocketlogger is worth the money if that's all you need.
I'm with JET on the Laptop versus palm. I tried the DSMLink Palm software and the PC version is way easier to use. Not to mention faster (minus initial boot).

Right from Digital Tuning's site
"We do not sell the cable or software separately. They are sold as one. If you do not have the cable, you cannot get the software from us. Anyone claiming to sell just the software is not selling a legal copy. You will not get any support from us, you are not entitled to any upgrades and we will not issue a registration code to you."

I thought the same thing at first too, until I read that. That software must be amazing, seeing as how an identical cable can be had for around 40 bux.
