2G's are safe
So yeah, I hit a 10 foot tall STEEP(nearly 90 degree) dirt embankment at a near triple digit speed, launching my car high enough in the air to see tree tops(25-35 feet if I had to guess) and about 30-35 feet forward stopping about 3 feet from a shitload big trees.Anyway I only fucked up my back from hitting the ground and I have a cut on the side of my head, I am VERY impressed how well the 2g took it, and saved me from serious injury.Even the police couldn't believe it, and they see alot of accidents.I always assumed I would be dead if I ever got into an accident, but the 2g saves the day.

As soon as I can move again, I'll take some.I can't believe my friend and I made it out alive, and relatively uninjured is even more unbelievable.Seriously, the car jumped like it was right out the Dukes of Hazzard.

I always felt pretty safe in my 2G as well. It just seemed like a big heavy pig for a sports car for some reason. I never jumped it to find out though.

So what kind of ticket are you facing? Triple digit speed is illegal unless you are on a track. Where did this happen? Sorry if I sound sceptical but I doubt some of the "facts" that you are presenting to us. Any street car taking on that much abuse would be folded up. If the embankment was nearly 90 degrees, your car would've folded up into an accordion, that's what they are designed to do with their crumple zones. Sorry, gotta throw the BS flag here. Too many variables not adding up. Or maybe the story was a bit embellished (sp?)
Glad to hear you are ok though.

It happened out by treasure island, and It happened exactly like I described it, no BS what so ever. After it happened I was looking at the bank, and I would've thought it should've stopped the car dead in its tracks.I didn't really check the damage out, but from what I hear from the towing company and the cops, its easily totaled, and I wouldn't be suprised if the unibody did in fact fold, or at least bend quite a bit.I did notice the front end folded under, making sort of a sled shape, which may explain how it launched off the bank.I don't know, but the bank was steep, I was going too fast, and the old lightning mobile got some pretty good air.

I can believe that you had the accident, I just found it hard to believe that you would've flown 30 or so feet up in the air and walked away. Maybe 5 or so feet I can believe, but 30 feet is as high as a 3 story building. You would've landed either on the nose of the car or on the rear bumper or worse flipped all the way over. Cars aren't as balanced as the movies make them look.
Like I said, I'm glad to hear you guys are ok. But I am still curious to hear what kind of a ticket you are facing for this one.
