Glow In the Dark Rotors
i think they are installed on my car, last night when me and the club were makeing a canyon run Hitting hairpin turns at 40-60mph drifting and overall having a blast, then we get to the last turn and when i came around the turn i coulnt stop and almost crashed into a wrx, then he yells out dude your rotors are glowing. i get out with the video camera and both my front rotors are glowing. heres a picture from my buddies camera phone
POS Plastic fans cant take the heat

3 things that are almost gaurenteed now.
Your rotors are toast (or close to it)
Your pads are toast
Your brake fluid is now black
Looks like it's time to upgrade. If you're going to be driving like that alot, then I would definitely get SS brake lines, some decent pads, and some good fluid. I did that on my old 240, and it made a huge difference. It stopped better, and there was almost no fade. And you should also change your brake fluid whenever it turns dark.

Brakes work better when they're hot... It helps to allow the pad to fuse with the rotor.
High speed driving + stock brakes = no no
I'm still trying to figure out if you actually think that's cool and a good thing or what...

Ever seen a Lemans race at night? Or even a road race/track event at night? Dropping down from 180mph to 30 in a hurry will yield that same effect, and it looks cool as hell as cars are flying by.
Not stopping, on the other hand, sux. Good thing you've got MN driving experience on your side (i.e. ice and snow!)

the rotors were warped anyways, and i just changed the pads, the wierd thing is that after i changed the pads, the brakes were makeing a very odd smell and smoking and when i would go to a sudden stop it would shake like a mo fo up until the canyon run. but now the brakes are surprisingly better, they stop on a dime and dont smoke or shake.
I would probebly contribute the smokeing and smell to the fact that my rotors have ruts in them and the break pads are trying to grind themselves to the rotors.

By the way Tom, you'll be lucky to not have other issues if your underhood temps were high enough to melt your fan.
