I need some ideas on what to buy when and when I get my Talon. I kno the FIRST thing I must get is a turbo timer but I wanna know from you guys what you would prefer. Next my cousin has an Apexi s-afc and Im thinkin about getting that. then I want to get a set of Cobalt series gauges. Anything esle that anyone can think of as a necessity let me kno ill need it down the line.

You don't need a turbo timer.

why not? They're gonna help save my turbo by not having all the hot oil just sittin in it.

A turbo timer keeps oil flowing through the turbo while it cools down and de-spools. I have one but you do not need one. Whenever you beat on your car or take it on a long trip, let the car sit at idle for a little bit before turning it off.

A few mods you will want to start with:
k & n filter
boost gauge
boost controler
exhaust
SAFC
datalogger

What are your goals for the car?

My cousin FORSFED had the car I want and I wanted to take after what he is kind of doinf but I don't want to make mine into a drag only car but I have wanted to experiment. Definately put some more ponies into it I wanna get cams, pistons heads, rods, mass air, exhaust, intake, 20g, bov, cobalt series gaugesm, the whole shabang. One things my cuz was telling me about were the catback and turboback exhauists and dunno the diff. help me out a little? lol thanks. I want her to be a fast sorta sleeper but above all fun car to have and to be able to drive she is my dream car.

The difference between cat back and turbo back is piping. A turbo back is a full exhaust. A cat back is a partial exhaust system (after cat only).

BTW, a dsm only has 1 head.

i can only wish my car could reach that potential but 450 500 will be good enough for me I just hope things will be able to hold together under that torture, My couz was talkin about something called a decret mix where u could run the engine at 13000 rpm and still have things work ill believe him but it sounds kinda ify.

Yeah, that is BS. Your tranny won't shift at that high of RPM, anyway! 11k is probably getting towards the limit for a full race motor.

I dont know but Id start off with maybe a KN filter and learn ALOT about the different parts that break on the dsm and you will be replacing them alot under "torture" conditions.

The first thing you need is a boost gauge, then do an air filter, then full turbo back exhaust, then boost controller, then S-AFC, etc...

The first thing you need is a spare transaxle. and lots of tires if you go FWD.
Than an empty creditcard. :3gears:
