Does anyone else ever run into people contacting them off craigslist for something that you are selling and the person is a complete fucking idiot douchebag? I am about ready to be done selling shit on there. I have had more bullshit on that site then good. People wanting to come ride in my cars when you could tell that they were not intending to buy from the first place. Also people that contact me for the parts that I am selling and dont like my price so they go ahead and start to tell me that they never wanted my ebay bullshit piece of junk parts anyways. And since when does FIRM mean that you will take 2/3 for your car from the asking price. And for fuck sake if I get another person that trys to trade me a dam srt-4 or a fucking Civic for my Evo... I guess thats what a person gets for listing something for sale on a free website.

I know how you feel. Two guys came over to my place to look at a 6-bolt block, and bare head, and said they'd take it, but they had to run to the bank. They then went to the "bank," and called me to tell me that they couldn't withdraw any money, because the guy's account was overdrawn. He said he would get paycheck on Friday and call me back to meet up. He didn't. It's been 2 weeks now.

hahaha. yeah. It's expected from Craigslist. I hate it when they compare prices on ebay...especially when they compare prices to eGay products. I got ALOT of people who called me and asked about the car and they tell me that they want to check out the car and guess what...no call the next day. The first 2 times I was pretty mad because I took my time to clean the car and get it ready because they seemed so serious about the purchase, but nope. Nothing. I'm used to it right now because it's expected. It is insane how much of a lowball they give you though. I was fucking offered 1,000 for the galant! WTF! this isn't a fucking junk'd DSM...it's not even a DSM!!

Another guy acted serious about my Eclipse and came and got a ride in it. Immediately after I gave him a ride he said that it would be cool if "this didnt work out" that I could help him build his fwd to be like my car. The dude even asked if "so is this tuned with a safc?" I texted him a few days after not hearing back from him and told him that I hate people that joy ride in other peoples cars and he said that he had just got approved for the loan for my car but he was no longer interested because he didnt like my attitude. I know that a bank wouldnt approve him for what I was asking for the dam car anyways, idiot.

Brandon why do you want a ride in my Evo? It isnt even anything like your car. You should probably just buy it anyways.

Don't even try to get me started. My ZX14 is listed on there also and I've had a bunch of fkn morons that just wanted to ride the bike. One guy took it out twice in an hour (only 10 min rides) and kept staring at it and talking about it. Then his friend comes to met up to help him decide. Well the guy ended up offering me a decent amount that I agreed to. I blew up his phone after the time he said he'd call me just to piss him off. He obviously wasn't going to buy it. Then his friend calls me two days later and asks if I want to trade for his broke ass Dodge Durango.

Then I had this other guy driving an M3 come look at it and he offered me $3500!!! I was asking $5k! He then keeps calling me every other day to see if anyone else has looked at it or bought it. All of this after I said no less than $4800. I didn't answer him for about a week and he offered me $4200. So I told him $5200 no less and haven't heard back from him.

Yeah totally agree with all thats been said. A major pet peve of mine that happened with the last two part outs of mine (not my current part out though, good job MN) is when you both agree on a price and when they come to pick up the part they say they only have x amount of money, would i be willing to take that. (the annoying thing is that i end up taking it), Lowball at time of sale is annoying, a couple times i wanted to just say, come back when you have the agreed upon amount of cash.

Surprisingly I've had pretty decent transactions from Ebay. It helps that I'm not selling modded import cars anymore though.

hell yeah, this has happen to me twice. the idiots just stood there like they were waiting me to answer them back about the changed price. I was firm and I'm glad I didn't take the lowball cash. Like, we discussed on the way to the meeting point about selling (item) for $100 and now when we meet, you only have $60?! WTF did you do with the other $40 you promised?

I sold a bike rack on CL yesterday; the couple showed up, gave me the asking price in cash, and left. It completely depends on what you're trying to sell. Motorcycles and modded/moddable cars seem to bring out the worst society has to offer (basically young, immature, idiots).

that is so true. when i sell car parts people try to low ball you big time evenwhen it is firm. but i never had a problem selling other stuff on cl always get what i want for it. most of the people that buy the dsm,car parts are young kids.
