27 Dresses... please help.

I need some serious help with this one because its really bothering me...

Tonight My pregnant girlfriend and I went to see 27 dresses because she wanted to see it. The reason i say that she is my pregnant girfriend is to prove that i do actually have sex with her and I am straight.
Everything was fine until we got into the theater, it wasnt a packed house as it is tuesday, and well... its 27 dresses. The thing that bothered me and confused me is that one of the rows had a line of 6 guys. Now these guys didnt look in any way gay, they looked like normal 16-18 year old males, dressed in normal jeans and clothes. Not a Single girl around them.... They watched the movie and when it was done they all left.
The movie is your typical chick flick with a capital CHICK. Its about a woman that is in love with this guy shes been the bridesmade in 27 weddings blah blah blah.... etc.
This poses numerous questions in my head that I thought maybe someone here could answer...
a) I would like to know what guy in that group would actually suggest going to see this movie and not get beat up... "Hey guys, lets go see a movie tonight..." "whats playing?" "Rambo, Meet the spartans.... 27 dresses!" "So its agreed we will see 27 dresses!!!!" WTF?
b) Did they get lost in the movie theater?
c) Is my Gaydar completly off the wire where i cannot tell the difference anymore?
d) Did they lose a bet?

What is wrong with the youth today where groups of only guys go see chick flicks?
