I Found A 90 Red Laser Turbo, all excited and my friend buys it not knowing I was looking at it BASTARD! Anyways, we were looking at it and were wondering...

How much does it cost to have a timing belt replaced, (hint hint some new STPAUL shop should give me a quote)

Antifreeze is leaking near the belts, not sure if its waterpump, or what, havent really looked at to much, just starting on it today, anyways throw some knowledge my way.

Timing belt is right around $200-$300 + parts depending on where you go. Elite, and some individuals on here would be your best bet.

Is it leaking oil also? It may be the head gasket also. Have you done a compression test yet?

200 bucks isnt bad with parts considering that the T-belt is 75 bucks and the Balance belt is 30... unless you get discounts at mitsu weeeee. Therefore I only pay for parts cuz Im doing it myself. Its not that bad of a job actually.

Peter, You missed "plus parts" on his post. $200 is a good price to have a belt done for labor. If it is not done correctly, it is much more expensive than that. There are a lot of costly potential hazards with doing a timing belt, it is one of those things that if you are guessing or don't know what you are doing, pay to have it done and sleep better. I believe Josh quoted this via PM for him as well.

PM Josh (nightrider) to see if he can do it for ya. I would have gone to him but I didn't know he did it until it was too late.
