4G63 Mirage?
ok heres the story, my sisters boyfriend, Tyler, is from colorado, and recently bought an 86' Mitsubishi Mirage for $1250, he is not 100% sure what kind of motor it has in it, but its not stock, he thinks its a 4G36T, but bacwards would be 4G63T, he says it is out of a mitsubishi lancer, and according to http://evo-mitsubishi.blogspot.com/2...olution-v.html that would be the 4G63T, just thought it was interesting... the car is totally gutted, hard wired, with a "custom turbo kit" it also has AEM cam gears....
i have never heard of a mirage with a motor swap... so i thought i would post this and see what yall had to say... just for snits and giggles

Where's the respect for a good well executed project and hard work. Whether it is your taste or not.

Re: 4G63 Mirage?
Looks isn't always the priority. Considering the car weighs about 2000 lbs, it doesn't take much power to make it fast. Plus if it's done right, they can be pretty cool. Everybody and their brother can put a bodykit on a 2G. :-)

Dude, people have been doing that swap for the past 10 years. I'm guessing the Mirage you are talking about is an 89-91 Mirage. The 86-88 Mirages were a different body style and a very different engines. The 89-91s came in a turbo version and the 4g63t is an easy swap into them.
And everyone is being sarcastic to you because you don't know that a Mirage/Colt is the easiest car to swap a 4g63 into.
later,
Curt
