All Mitsu Cookout planning
Hey guys,
Its time to start planning the 2007 All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show. My plan is to have it at the Rogers Junior High again this year. As far as when, I'm planning on Saturday, August 18th. Does anyone know of any big events happening that day? The pro-rally is the following weekend, and there is some Dub Magazine show at the convention center on the 19th, but I don't think that would be much of a conflict anyways.
later,
Curt

Crap!! I don't want to have it the same day as the shootout, and I don't want to have it any earlier in August. I'm leaning towards having it either August 25 or 26th then. This will be the same weekend as the Pro-rally up north.
So how many DSMers am I going to loose to the pro-rally if I do it that weekend? And would any pro-rally spectators make it back down to the Cookout if I had it on Sunday the 26th? I think the rally finishes on Saturday the 25th.

Curt

Re: All Mitsu Cookout planning
I don't think you should worry about the rally taking people away from the cookout.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout planning
Curt, you'll lose more non mitsu owners who'd some by to check out the cars, than the regular Mitsu Owners. I think you'll be pretty safe having it the same weekend as the Pro Rally for turnout. The Pro Rally ends Sat, so unless someone is part of a crew or a worker, chances are they would have no problem making it back anyway.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout planning
If it's the earlier date in August, I can make it. If it's the later date in August, then chances are I can't. Just like last year. You start getting close to Sept and it's a flip of the dime. I've never made one yet.
I'd be nice to make it to the shootout this year too.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout planning
Hey guys,
I'll be shooting for Sunday, August 26th for the All Mitsu Cookout. I've put in for the permit for that day. So assuming the school approves it, we'll be good to go. Hopefully next week I'll be able to make it official and start a whole new spamming campaign.
later,
Curt
