Here is some info on the Microtel, looks pretty nice. They won the JD Powers award for highest customer satisfaction 5 years in a row.

Virtual tour:

I haven't stayed at one, but they look decent. I know they are all new hotels within the last 10 years.
$65 for a queen room, $75 for double queens and $85 for a suite.

I'm going to stick with the Super 8 since I have Trip Reward and I can get free nights with them down the road.

Re: Road America, Aug 4-5, 2007
So who else is going to go along for the ride on this one? Maybe even for a weeked of spectating or riding along? I will have an extra seat in the 6.
The only thing that keeps me from racing is bare tires and no money for a good set. Either way though, I'm going to watch, or just race one or 2 sessions to where I am comfortable.

Re: Road America, Aug 4-5, 2007
I want to go bad. I want to take my car on the track, but idk. I hope by then I'll have the tires and exhaust fixed...at least I damn well better.
I'll think about it for a few days and then we'll see. I was planning on going with one of my friends, so maybe I'll drive with some of the other Winona guys.

Re: Road America, Aug 4-5, 2007
Sounds good, I hope a lot of people can make it out.
Just as a reminder to everyone interested, your car won't be allowed on the track if its leaking any fluids so make sure everything is buttoned up!

Re: Road America, Aug 4-5, 2007
I just called and cancelled my trip out there. There is no way I'll be ready with everything I'll need for the weekend. I think I am going to AIM for the first event in Council Bluffs IA next spring.

Re: Road America, Aug 4-5, 2007
I was holding out and would of continued to put it off longer just in case, but I'll need new tires, new brakes, helmet, and money for the trip itself. If something changes from now till then who knows, but for now I just wanted in cancelled.

Re: Road America, Aug 4-5, 2007
I will hopefully be signing up soon. I just need to do a little finance review and make sure I will have proper funding. For anyone wondering track time is $375 (two days), and then ~$150 on a hotel room (two nights). Add in all the other little odds and ends for the weekend and you will end up spending about $650-$750 or so. Not as cheap as drag racing but track time is measured in minutes, not seconds, and totals HOURS, not minutes.

Re: Road America, Aug 4-5, 2007
I'm registered. Road America is running a Test 'n' Tune on Friday, an HPDE group will be run also. It's $170 for the day but an extra 2 hours on the track. I am thinking about it.
