Engine Torque Damper

So I was playing on the net and found this.
http://www.prostreetonline.com/store...torque_damper/

For 174.95 is this even worth the time to look at.

Solid mounts will stiffen it even more than poly.

Re: Engine Torque Damper

Not needed on our cars, they don't make any torque.

Re: Engine Torque Damper

They actually aren't a joke, the S2k guys are using and liking them. For a DSM though, I still recomend just getting stiffer motor mounts.

Re: Engine Torque Damper

I've seen some 240 guys using them as well. Personally, I'd just go with stiffer mounts.

Re: Engine Torque Damper

I have seen them in many cars.. I had a 240SX with a RB25DET and yes it does help stiffen it up a bit and give a little slack when you smash the gas pedal.. I give this item an 5 out of 10. If you want stiff, go with solid mounts..

Re: Engine Torque Damper

I had one on my V8 Monza in High School. Although it was just a piece of chain. I couldn't afford a new engine mount at the time.
