Air travel alert high: U.S. suspects al Qaeda ties

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/08/10/us.security/index.html

This is some pretty freaky shit to wake up to this morning. And with the delays it's going to cause at the airline it's going to get people edgy again.

I have to say, I feel much better waking up to raised alerts and suspects with exsplosives arrested opposed to seeing another plane being taken down.

God damn!!! I just heard this on CNN when I got off work like 10 mins ago! With all this shit going on with foiled plots and the Hezbollah/Israeli War, I might have to reconsider moving to the Czech Republic in October

My guy actually didn't get out last night. He flew out this morning. It wasn't any big deal, he just had to check his luggage that had his shampoo, toothpaste, etc. You also have to throw away any drinks you have in your carry on.

In a month?!? People get too worked up over nothing, its not like they are shutting down airports and canceling a mass amount of flights (not to mention, this happened in the UK, not US).

Haha, even if they are, they won't be a month from now! Its not like the airline industry is going to shut-down completely for good.

You have a better chance of a car driving through your house tonight. I'm with CVD on this one....people get so worked up which is exactly what the terrorists want!

There's nothing south of here to fly into that would be worth jacking a plane for. Dont worry unless you're flying near a real city.

Ok. maybe im wrong here, but isnt oil dropping in price a good thing? If this is true, then it just makes up for the damn alaskan pipes having to be shut down.
