today was it..new job.
Well, my day is officially done. The weekend is off, and I no longer am employeed at Saturn of Brooklyn Park. You may now find me, starting full-time at Hopkins Honda, off of 169 and excelsior blvd. It's that BIG ASS white building with the blue signs on it! They have 37 stalls, a/c'd shop, and more money to pay me with. Now, the dsm can go under the knife again, and get more shit done.

Re: today was it..new job.
The A/C is what you want more than a ton of stalls, that just means more people to argue with.
Good find on the job front.

Re: today was it..new job.
I bet I live closest to it on here. How did you get the job there? Do you have a degree from somewhere? I have a friend fron UTI who is looking for a starting job now that he just graduated.

i thought to work at dealers you had to go through a graduate program after basic ASE certification.

Re: today was it..new job.
yea, I was there today, trasnferring my box n doing a few things..paperwork, and then worked on a few cars. I just asked for the job, they saw my crudentials, and reliability as an employee, and hired me. I now make $3.17 more per hour then I did at saturn, and more hours too. I can work on my car there if I so choose, since they are open till 1 am. I also get weekends off. It's turning out to be quite a cool job.

Re: today was it..new job.
I guess someone was jerkin my chain..no a/c. But, they have every fan in the shop on, so it feels like a/c..I couldn't tell the difference. Today was a straightforward day..laid back, do whatever. did some pdi's, tranny flushes, rear diff services, oil changes, saftey inspections, and etc. Then, helped a guy there on his 300zx motor for a little bit. It's nice, cause I am not rushed at all, most all the guys are cool, i can leave whenever I want, test drives you can take as long as you want (one guy took an hour-went to lunch with it). I also work like 2 exits away from *edit*..hehe. I took a new civic si there, but didn't beat on it at all..trafficy during the day, and I also don't feel like loosing my job over it. I bet *edit* at night is quite a spectacle.
