What are the chances? Time for new tires...
Front left tire: two nails
Rear right tire: one nail
That's right, somehow I picked up three nails in the past few days, and one of my nice Bridgestone Potenza's blew out on me. It's patched for now, but the guy that did it is like 'ahh, yea, I wouldn't go to fast on it'
I was like 'do you know what kind of car this came off of?'
SOB. So, time for some new tires. I'm thinking of giving a set of the Fuzion ZRi's a try. Any for or against?

The ZRi's have been getting great reviews as far as cheap performance tires go. I'd go with them if I were looking in that price-range.

I am currently rolling on Zri's. I like em..I haven't pushed it too bad, but they can corner pretty well..not bad at all for the price.

Hancook>Fuzionzri I had hancooks on a year ago and they were getting low on tread. i made the sad mistake of changing to zri's. They just didnt even touch what my old hancooks could do.

Re: What are the chances? Time for new tires...
Check Ebay out for used and new tires, I just bought some used Bridgestone Potenza S-03'S 245/45/ZR18s for $115 for both since I only needed 2. They have 70% tread left on them. And considering they are $235 per tire new that isn't a bad deal.

Always do!
Anyone know if there is a major difference between the Bridgestone Potenza RE750 and the RE730's ? I have RE730's right now, and am trying to decide if it'd be worth it to just get 2 new tires instead of 4.
Guess that depends on how worn the two good tires are though eh? I'll have to look more closely at them to decide.

Re: What are the chances? Time for new tires...
750's are pretty much just the next generation of 730's. Same class, slightly better.

No clue yet, supposed to be some kind of a kickback, but I don't know specifics yet.

Re: What are the chances? Time for new tires...
Well, I went with the Fuzion ZRi's. I was going to just get the RE750's, but comparing them to the Fuzions, directly, they were 40% more per tire, and most of the scoring/ranking/reviews I read on them they came out less than half a point (on a scale of 10) away from the RE750's on all of those points. In some cases, they scored higher, even. Also, looking at the tread of the RE750 and ZRi, they look pretty similar.
So, for roughly 2/3 the price, I'm getting 97% of the tire. I'll let you know what I think once I get them on & start ripping it up. Maybe I'll try something like the S-03's next time, just to see how much better they are.
