Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
Oh, sorry, I am not sure what the latest kit is I guess...sorry.
I need to buy a lot of parts to get it working again, so I am trying to find a good balance between power/spool for an all around fun car.
Sorry, just figured I'd share the stuff I found on the BW, looks promising to me, was hoping for actual feedback.

Check out the BW thread. Nothing top secret in there, but I tried to share what I've learned about them.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
I'll check it out.
I've been talking with Geoff at full race a bunch over the past few days. Talking with him, it seems like the EFR stuff is really nice for down low punch, almost stock frame like. I'll see what you posted and see if that sways me more.Thanks.

You should do a sick bodykit instead.

Yeah he knows his shit when it comes to turbos (especially BW). I run his Full Race spec 84-75. Tell him Brandon with the SC300 says waddap.

LOL looking for feedback. Dave, you switch setups every 6 months, and basically do the opposite of what everyone on here tells you to. What good would feedback really do?
Just pick something and run with it, we all know you'll part it out and be running something else 7 months later! haha

Now that is a good idea! The only problem...I don't have a way to drive my car with no parts, so if i did that I wouldn't be able to show off the awesome body kit unless i invite people over to see it on jackstands.

I'll tell him waddap for you. I think he does know his shit for sure, but he is for sure the below.

FOr sure, I can see that. But doesn't mean they aren't good. Everyone is super biased now a days from what I can see. Seems like there is never middle ground. It's always..."this is the shit" or "that is shit". Never, "that is solid but this is all around better" etc.
It was funny, geoff was saying no surprise how i described my PTE setup like it was awful or something.

I deserve that..haha. But I am trying...maybe not super hard, but trying to get something i enjoy enough to keep. I would've stayed with the Map kit but I needed money so I had to part ways.
Regardless, I have to buy parts to drive my evo, so either ways its going to be a bunch so mind as well get what i want.
By feedback, I was seeing if anyone else has seen good results from EFR's. They seem like unicorns, hard to find info as BW apparently can't keep them in stock.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
Boostin Performance did a good review of PTE and FP turbos.
I didn't say or infer that BW wasn't good, they are one of the most durable turbo's out there.

MAP is porting the TB, I prefer local stuff if I can and I figured they were doing the INtake mani already so mind as well port match it all.

Cool, I was mainly just wondering if you're getting MAP's new one.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
I was going to do Mil Spec, then Bill at MAP let me know they were finishing up their Evo X TB's and I figured why not. I just like the idea of a local company doing it just in case I have issues.
My favorite part of the weekend, got to spend $350 at Sears in Tools! Got some good stuff, my favorite pickup, craftsman electric 3/8" impact driver, seriously made the job so much easier.

It's awesome how you got those pistons out through the intake ports on the head! Nice work! Money well spent @ sears

Super Gosh porting on the head made is possible to squeeze the pistons out
yea, I officially need a toolbox now, probably another trip back to sears. It's starting to suck trying to be organized with my small bench.
The pistons are from my 1st built motor, sold those last week, so need to ship them out.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog
Fuck it. Get a 6765 and a direct port N2O kit and run a 100 shot as a spoolup.
