I had a second to look at your log quick.
Your global dead time needs to go back to 0. Check your car with timing light. Confirm its 5 degrees behind tdc. Is this a 6 bolt swap?

Set your coolant cel light down from 234 to 215. Unclick disable airflow smoothing with sd operation. I assume you have a stock TB? if so unclick the idle switch operation. And log it in your next log to make sure its activating properly.

Do this and get a log of with how you have your wb set up.

I have a aem wwideband.

1g throttlebody

its a 7 bolt with a 1g cas on it.

Ok yeah, do what i told you to do to start with.
The refresh rate of the 5v signal is way slow so it needs constant adjustment on the aem. But you should be able to get it close for what you need.

Just drop by Harbor Freight and pick one up. They are very reasonably priced.

ZOMG. You're already having a disaster of a time, so adding in a set of 1600's (known to pretty much be the worst injectors to tune around) isn't much of a step forward.

Re: dsm link v3 tuning help :/

I really don't want to run them but, it seems like I would be making more work for myself to dial in 450cc then change to the 1600cc, wouldn't it just be easier to dial in the injectors and fuel I plan to run so then I wouldn't have to start from scratch all over again?

sorry for making it difficult on everyone.

I just picked up a timing light, installed the 1600cc injectors. will post a log here shortly.

if anyone has some 2150cc or anything better they would like to donate to the "poor dsm society" I would be more then happy to accept them

Are you running pump gas or e85? Pump gas will be impossible on the 1600s.

Re: dsm link v3 tuning help :/

1600 do not run on gas at all. They are a pain to get right on e85. I got mine to idle and run on SD and drove the car to Shane. It still does not like to cold start. Been dealing with the 1600 for many years in the Evo and now the Spyder. I used them since I got them from my brother other wise I would have gotten injectors that tune and work a hell of alot better

Re: dsm link v3 tuning help :/

Sorry to jack the thread once again but since we are on injectors now. The car I'm considering runs Bosch2000cc injector. With a walboro 450 e85 pump.

If I chose to run 93oct instead of driving across town to get gas would it be best to swap out injectors or pump?

Or is there a way to run 8 injectors? (Thought I read that Steve is using two sets on his 1g?)

Currently had an evo111 manifold with 1g n/a tb. But come taxes next year its magnus v3 and one of there tb for it

Re: dsm link v3 tuning help :/

8 injectors would require a special intake manifold with holes in the runners for them. Plus you would need to drive them, not sure if dsmlink v3 does that, or just AEM.

Can those Bosch injectors idle on pump gas? If so, you would just need to switch the tune between pump and e85, no need to switch injectors and definitely not the pump. Otherwise if they don't idle on 93, then you'd have to switch injectors and the tune. Still not the fuel pump though.

Re: dsm link v3 tuning help :/

The car I'm looking at was built by Shane Phillips of asap performance. I have been considering having it dyno tuned for 93 while I'm down there for a cost of $300. But its the time frame I'm somewhat worried about. I will probably ask the owner of he can do it before I get down there and just pay him the money.

The owner just said all I would need to do is get it dyno tuned.

Why, because you don't know what you are doing and it will be easier to learn on decent injectors versus 1600's. I can almost promise you that you will never get those 1600's perfect as far as idle goes. You will get them decent and then the next morning it will run like shit. They suck for idle/low throttle. The only way I ever got them to idle halfway decent was making sure all stock idle control methods were in place (fiav, Isc) hours upon hours of tincuring.
