WTF? Apparently I got the 400 hp rods.

I might as well start a real project thread since it's turning into a partial shortblock build as well. Luckily the stroker crank and bearings are in perfect shape. Pistons are a little scuffed up but useable.

Yeah, and these are supposed to be a lot better than my good old Eagles, good for well over 700whp, but apparently not when a little detonation is involved. I'll find out more tomorrow about the original build, maybe there's some warranty involved, that sure would be nice.

Olivers. Apparently not the most widely used rods in the Evo world, but a nice looking quality part nonetheless.

I started thinking about that last night, that's gotta be it since the pistons and rings look just fine. I'll look at the rest of them today.
