Yeah, dont want to get down too hard on the new guys, but when you're listing your radiator fans and blow off valve in your mod list it's obvious you arent ready to run 10's. I'd be shocked to see 11's.

Re: Just Joined
Thanks, assholes.. I come in here and tell you guys what I have and get spit in my face? Well, on every forum I'm on there's always less-inteligent people, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. CVD, listing a BOV isn't important because? It's still a performance part, just like the fans. TalonTSIDude, maybe that's why I said I'm aiming for 10s. 1GKiller, go here... http://www.gtechpro.com/accuracy.html
I have only had this car running for three months and this is my first setup, there's more to come. You think I'm going to try to hit 10s with a TD05H/20g?
PS, thanks to those who gave me a warm welcome and didn't judge me before they had a single conversation with me. Thanks to the ones that have no faith in me, also. You have just motivated me more to be faster.

Re: Just Joined
10s on a 20G isn't impossible, and would be a hell of a feat, but definatly unlikely.
it's all good, people here do tend to push each other but its all in good fun usually.

Simmer down young grasshopper.
The members of this board tend to be a bit aggressive when it comes to other people bragging about unproven setups. Its all in good fun.

Get um boys! Yeah, you really do have to be meek and humble on this site. Some of these fine folks have run 10s, some have run 15s. Point is, that some know what it takes and some know what can't do it. Welcome to the place where 16Gs can run high 15s all day. Welcome to where a full weight 20Ged car ran 11.27. Welcome to where some members have nine guns and seven Rock Falls trophys in their room. Welcome to where some members have never driven a DSM. You get to figure out who is who. In short, welcome!
BTW- you are still a cracker.

BTW, I'm still only half cracker. Who ran the 11.27 in the full-weight 20g, was it TD05H,TD06 or hybrid?

We ain't sure...td06 comp cover with a td05H hot wheel. 7cm housing. Yeah, so there. Don't worry about it. You won't be able to do such things...pretty sure he couldn't do that again...not to knock him. You will need less weight and a really good tranny.

Less weight? I already have my car stripped except for the dash, this is my race car; I barely drive it on the street. I also just checked dsmtimes.org and found Dave Shultz ran 11.057 on a TD05H/20g.

Oh yeah, as for who it is. I'm not telling you so you don't flood his PM box. Just build a decent setup. He did this as a project low-buck type thing. It was a cheap car and all that stuff....

I already know it's Andy Nash, he's on dsmtimes.org also. He even has dsmstyle.com listed in there by his time. If he would come out of the woodwork it would be nice, otherwise I won't bother him.

We don't mean to be assholes about running 10s with a 20G, it just isn't easy and is very rarely done. Especially if you are new to modding DSMs and have never even raced the car yet. Most people run 12s with a 20G, 11s are a realistic goal. 10s have been run before with the 20G but possible only twice and thats out of who knows how many billion DSMs that have run a 20G at one time or another, those 2 cars also were not your normal cars and one of them might have been on nitrous also.
Goodluck in your quest for 10s and start stockpiling replacement trannies.

Better get that bigger turbo or one hell of a 60ft. We all know how easy 10s are.

Re: Just Joined
haha no shit.
I can lay claim that the car was my chassis before that 11.2x pass. And now it should go 10's this year in its new owners hands.

Aww come on We're all just going through the winter-blues and we need to take it out somewhere. Its the new hazing process, in 2 weeks I am sure half of us will be friends with this kid. Oh yeah, if you want to be accepted on the board start IM'ing people and just chat with 'em for a bit.

For what? I'm not making a new name because of what I am. I'm going to act the way I am regardless of what name I'm on.
