Doesnt sound like your being a dick... just very confusing.....
I posted that information becuase you had posed you didnt think the mpg of a SS or SRT8 would be as bad as previously estimated by A///guy... Just wanted to help inform you that they are as bad as he had estimated.....
And no I didnt buy me evo for the mpg... (have gotten 27mpg though...) I DD my Evo and have had zero issues with it... yes it has a much more stock set up than you but i still have my fun... I Bought my gfs Mini Cooper S as a fun car that still gets great MPG!
I vote get your car tuned and enjoy it for the summer and then see what you think...

Thats just sad man, I'm sorry for you. I've put 60k mostly trouble-free miles on my evo and its been down for a week here or there, but often it was fixed on my schedule, with a bit of hurry to get it done quick.
I say work through the issues and make it a reliable DD. I've always told people to keep it simple and always always put maintenance over modding. 2.3+35R is wicked awesome but the can of worms that can come with it can be a nightmare, which you are in right now. Stock motor + stock frame turbo and a little octane (E85 or alky) can make killer power and be a lot more reliable, but it still can be a nightmare if you aren't careful.
Can't wait to see the new numbers!

Re: thinking of selling my car
Just keep on moving. My car has been a huge pain as well. But when im done fixing it and it actually down the road best feeling ever.. $1500 is a lot of money. Ive put about the same amount in it. If you want to sell your car though no one can tell you what to do. Itll be nice if you keep it though. I mean its a EVO. Plus People are happy to help you out if you need any remember that to.

Re: thinking of selling my car
i can haz grammer?
I luv Me hookid on fonics!!
Jesus Christ man, you don't type that way on Mnsubaru or mnsc, why bring the the toilet grammar here?
Reading your typing is comparable to trying to decipher what ozzy osbourne is saying while in a drug induced stupor. lol
This car has seemed to overwhelm you from day 1. I say you either bring it to a good shop like DB, and have them straighten it all out, and/or bring it closer to stock. Or 2. Give up and sell it

Re: thinking of selling my car
Ahhh... the feeling of having the car run after it has been sitting for a couple of years...
DSM people know this feeling well...
Maybe I should include evos now?

Re: thinking of selling my car
LMFAO! I love it! So true, but fuk the couple of years thing. If my car is down for a week, or I go on vacation or something, I'm itching to drive it!

Not to be mean but you bought a seriously souped up older Evo and assumed there wouldn't be problems? Even brand new cars that are modded to that level can have expensive things go wrong.
There aren't many things on these cars that cost less than $1k to fix. The most reliable car that I ever owned was a Nissan Altima. The most boring car that I've ever owned was that Altima...

Re: thinking of selling my car
I agree, you put yourself into that position, its not the car's fault. You bought someone else's hacked together car with no knowledge of what exactly you were buying.

I agree with that feeling, however it sometimes ends with the hood up on the side of the road.....
