Re: Little. Blue. Different.
GST in cali made 445whp/415wtq with this with E85 on a pretty basic modded evo (linked above), but my goals are not nearly that high, I just want a little more than I have now, but not enough to push any limits. Just good, reliable, fun...I mean power

Re: Little. Blue. Different.
Show me an E316g dsm that makes 445whp on a mustang dyno...or even maybe 'just' 400whp on dyno dynamics. I know you made 415 on map's dyno but if you can do that at the spring dyno day at DB, I will personally make you a cheesy bacon wrap.

Re: Little. Blue. Different.
I'm sure you'll put up some respectable numbers with it though. Your turbo is pretty much what's limiting you right now isn't it?

I'm on a bit of a diet, well just trying to eat healthier.
You stay wrapped up in the numbers I will keep on sticking it to people. oh and running 1/4 times and other crap.
I no longer have E316G. sorry. I think I would of made maybe 380 at DB that is consistent with the airflow and some other calculations in link.
Anywho enough about old dsms. When is this thing gonna be on?

Re: Little. Blue. Different.
Just dropped it off at MAP for a wicked port job. Got all the gaskets and stuff that I need from brookdale yesterday, so all I need now is time *rolls eyes*

Re: Little. Blue. Different.
out with the old!
Stock comp outlet (BBK comes the same)...this will be hogged out soon
Anyone want an IX turbo? Shaft play is minimal, but I believe its leaking air past the bearings, I'll be testing this out soon. Comes as pictured above, no oil/coolant lines or outlet pipe.

Re: Little. Blue. Different.
Im looking forward to seeing the results for this, Im still thinking of ditching my setup for the red. I just like the stock frame turbo setups. If you make good power with this, I will see what a 2.3 can do with one.

Re: Little. Blue. Different.
Got the turbo back from Bob @ MAP/FFPerformance. He had assured me it would be done tonight, so I pushed him a little to make that happen. I was originally going to get my turbine housing coated black then silver to match my buschur coated manifold and SS O2 housing, but he had a wedding to get to and could only do one coat, black. Well, I didn't want a silver manifold and o2 housing and black turbine housing, so I ran them over to him and he got them all re-done in black. He got it done, and the quality is truely exceptional. I went over a bunch of details with him ahead of time and he came through on all of them like it was a no brainer.
I took some pics as best I could, but with the black coating it makes it tough to see the detail. I'll try more in the morning before I put it in the car.
I'm really pumped to see what this thing will do

Re: Little. Blue. Different.
I'm suposed to get up early and pick my parents up at the airport, but I couldnt sleep. So I figured I'd take pics before it went on. There are about a billion, I was trying to take some detailed pics of the port work.
All pics here:
http://www.scheides.com/gallery/evo-bbk/
Old vs new:
Ported compressor outlet (goes waaaay up in there!):
Stock turbine:
BBK turbine + ported outlet (portmatched):
Its gasket matched:
O2 Housing matches gasket as well (bob touched it up, normally there is a small lip that doesn't match):
Stock scroll #1 (I had done basic portmatch already):
Ported scroll #1 (there's a big wall that got cut WAY down in this scroll, this was one of the points I pushed bob on, and I'm glad I did. There's a lot of material to be removed!:
Stock scroll #2 (I had done basic portmatch already):
Ported scroll #2 (this one was impossible to get a good pic of, but the work here is amazing!):
All teh new hotness (errr, blackness?):
