Re: DSMs, hmmm, maybe time to say goodbye?
I have to say that I was thinking of going away from dsm or putting it on the back burner for a while. Girlfriend not liking the car is also a problem.
I was thinking of restoring a classic muscle car. Looking for a 64 buick or oldsmobile. Also maybe a Chevy nova would be fun to play with. They are a blast to drive. My dad has a 67 442 oldsmobile with the 455olds engine in it and I have always been kind of a muscle car fan. We also have a 55 chevy truck that needs restoring. I didn't know if anyone else on this forum is interested in muscle cars but I think they are kind of cool.
I was also thinking of an RX-7 FD and throwing a chevy LS motor into it. Would be a lot less expensive then blowing up rotary engine (even though rotary engines are still cool, just really expensive for parts). It would be a Corvette on the Cheap!!!

Re: DSMs, hmmm, maybe time to say goodbye?
Yeah muscle cars are a lot of fun. I had a '71 442 with the 455 Hurst indy clutch that was painted Porsche Indy Red. Man I loved that 455! Nothing beat cruising that car and the way the motor was so smooth. Wheel hop like a son of a bitch though. Never did get to fix that before I sold it.
DSM's might not be as much cool factor but I like the challenge of learning Forced Induction so far. Can't see myself getting rid of the Talon.

I wouldn't say expensive, but clean 1g AWD's have gone up in value over the last few years. They aren't going to be a Supra though.

Re: DSMs, hmmm, maybe time to say goodbye?
They will be worth as much as people are going to pay for them and there are a lot of idiots/noobs out there.
But there are also a lot of people that truly know how much these things are worth.
