Re: When will you start seriously working on your DSM again?

My DSM is pretty much sold. As soon as I get back to Texas I'm turning my DSM over to a buddy of mine. I see a black Z06 in my near future....

Re: When will you start seriously working on your DSM again?

Looks like "got smart and sold mine" and "always working on it" are the trend in this poll?

What does that seem to tell you about DSM's?

Endless heartache, nightmare & moneypit comes first into my mind?

I must be stupid, but we are STILL going to try to get some gains on this DSM AGAIN this year!

Re: When will you start seriously working on your DSM again?

well, good news, i started my car tonight. yes. it runs so good, idles perfect and i haven't even timed it yet. mechanical lash adjusters will need some fine tuning, and i need to get a couple more things straighened away on the car, but hot damn, this is gonna be a fun ass summer.

Re: When will you start seriously working on your DSM again?

I just got in from wrenching on the DSM. I finaly cleaned the garage so I could push mine in to be worked on. Mainly focused on some cosmetic shit that needs to be taken care of, prepping some parts to be painted. The bigger problem is that I don't know what exactly is wrong with my engine but I am going to guess a spun bearing. I miss shifted from third to second last fall, the day after that the car started to make awful sounds.

It would be nice if someone with some DSM experience could swing by and listen to the car after I start it up and give me their opinion. I'd like to get someone elses opinion on what might be wrong before I commit myself to doing a teardown. I am pretty knowledgeable about cars in general but this one has me stumped. Free beer to anyone who swings over.

Looks like I need to do some tranny work now. Case has a hairline crack in it from the Center Diff Pin backing out.

I get back from school beginning of may, so both of my cars are undergoing some serious wrench time from the 2nd week of may all the way up until the last week of august when I move back up to St. Cloud for school.
