Should have done the RRE version of the 6-bolt into a 2G swap instead of the Magnus way, if you knew you weren't going to get a DSMLink or standalone.
You could buy the Pocketlogger and keep reseting the CEL, if it doesn't happen often enough to drive you crazy. But I guess if it didn't happen constantly, then you would just reset the ECU instead. You might be able to get something cheaper also, like this one:
