I just emailed this to BP now. I'm dead serious about the matter. I put 87 in the car Friday because it doesn't act any different than the supposed labeled 93.
Hello. I am very frustrated over the quality of fuel i'm getting at the BP store in Abbotsford, WI 54405. It is a must that i purchase 93 octane for my turbocharged car. I strongly feel that the 93 oct. that i'm pumping into my car isn't truly 93. I bought a datalogger to attach to my cars dataport and i'm showing very high levels of knock. This amount of knock should not be present if it were truely 93 octane. The 93 is acting like 87 or 89oct. I have never had any problems with BP fuels up until this year with all the energy problems going on. If it isn't truly 93 then it shouldn't be marketed as 93. I would like someone to physically test it. If someone does not, I will have it analyzed by someone that is qualified. If it is not truly 93, I will have it turned over to the state commision. I'm paying about .14 cents more for fuel that i feel i'm not getting.
