Just a friendly reminder, that there are many variations on the '50 trim' just like there are many variations on the '20g'. Switching out turbine wheels can affect power, performance, and reliability, the same goes with turbine and compressor covers. Trim is an area ratio used to describe both turbine and compressor wheels. Trim is calculated using the inducer and exducer diameters. As trim is increased, the wheel can support more air/gas flow. So when you say '50 trim' all you are saying is the ratio of the inducer vs exducer. Trim = (minor diameter / major diameter) ^2 * 100
Minor diameter is obviously the inducer, major is the exducer.
So with that being said, I can't give an opinion on a '50 trim' versus a '20g'. If you broke it down a little more, like a specific '50 trim' or say a td06 burschur 20g or something, more information could be brought forth.
