You might be having other issues, not the fluid that you are using.

For example, i have a 99 eclipse, and the radiator was cloged with bugs and crap and road grime. Take radiator out, there are acids and other stuff that would clean the radiator from outside and inside to get rid of years of deposits and sludge from it.

On a older truck i helped with he had a lot of heating issues, he got some muradic or whatever acid i think.. and we cleaned the radiator really good from inside and out.. he never had issues again with it overheating, hell we even put the old coolant back in it (1 month old)
