Track Time, maybe.
Might be heading to the track tomorrow (Wednesday) if the weather permits.
I want to see what I can get out of the car on 93 octane pump gas first. Then I'll try c16 on my next trip to the track. We should have temps in the 60's tomorrow night which would be really good for pump gas running.
I've done some logging and tuning with DSMLink and feel really good about my results so far.
If anybody has DSMLink I can email you the last .dat file I have.
A couple if quick things from the .dat log;
18 psi (will be taking it into the low-mid 20's on pump gas)
46 lb/min (or 350 gm/sec) of air flow @ 7900 rpm
24.1 deg max timing with only .7 deg knock retard (I will bring this down for higher pump gas boosting)
a/f ratio of 11.00-11.45:1 average (calculated based on airflow vs injector duty, O2 showing .96v, I'm trying to buy a wideband O2 as we speak)
coolant temp 169-171 deg
EGT @ 850 deg C
I will be tuning for higher boost, but I wanted a good base line for mixture and timing and I will adjust from there.
I hope it's not raining.

Hit 49+ lb/min at lunch today, 20-21 psi @ 7950 rpm. GT3056 turbo.

Re: Track Time, maybe.
The Good, the Bad and the UEGO.
The Good
Best pass of the evening
12.48 @ 110.82
1.84 60-foot
18 psi on a rich mix (820 deg EGT)
My last run was a 12.96 @ 111.33
2.26 60-foot (bogged the engine on launch which sucked)
The Bad
72 deg outside air temps (didn't get as cool as we all hoped)
87% humidity (yuk)
93 octane unleaded
The UEGO
Not what I really hoped for, I know there is more power to be made. Just need more tuning. Wideband O2 is my next purchase. I don't trust my stock o2 sensor. Although it's almost new, for the same fuel settings, psi and airflow it could read from run to run, .94v to 1.02v. Probably being effected by heat.
I'm not all that dissappointed though. It's only .3 seconds and 4.5 mph slower than my best time on my 2g 2.0L running c16 @ 25 psi with more timing.
Oddly enough, I did try adding boost (up to 23 psi while reducing the timing, logged .7 to 1.1 deg of knock retard). Didn't have any real effect on the power. I was only able to get 5 runs in, but my mph was from 110.09 to 111.33 from all of them. The increase in mph could have been from me getting closer to getting it right or possibly a little cooler air coming in to play.

Re: Track Time, maybe.
I am sure you will gain a lot of power from tuning. I ran 120 mph on pump gas with my 2.0 and 50 trim (12.02 since it was crank walked). I did all of that tuning with just me and Craig out tuning on back roads with the AEM and WB02, it never got on the dyno. Once you get the WB02 you are going to wonder what the hell you were thinking before! I know I will never tune again without one.
Looks like some good shake down runs though Mike, gratz!

Re: Track Time, maybe.
AEM UEGO on the way thanks to Shane (ecoli). I'm ready to do some more tuning and get this thing moving.

Re: Track Time, maybe.
Sounds great! I can't wait to see what she can do. I really do agree about the WB too. No real reason to use stock crap.

It was either the AEM UEGO or the FJO system. The FJO system would have been about $150-200 more. Both claim to be with-in .1% accurate. The AEM uses the slightly cheaper sensor, and since I will be using race fuel at times, that will be a benefit. Also, if I decide to ever go with the AEM EMS, there are no compatability issues. Also the AEM (and the FJO) has a narrow-band simulator so I can run it into my DSMLink ecu without any CEL or drivability problems. I plan to leave the wideband sensor in all the time. DSMLink can log the wide-band output from the AEM UEGO at the rear O2 sensor input of the car.
The Yugo was not an option
