Yea on my logger it just stays at a constant 83 degrees so Im not sure if that is the number it uses or just sends it to the ecu differently becuase I assume that the MAF uses temperature on GM vehicles but Im not sure.

I am pretty sure the translator uses the temp already to make the signal to send to the ECU. So it does get used for the calculation, the ECU just doesn't see it.

The temp correction is built into the way the GM MAFs work. Our stock MAFs measure air by counting the vortices that the honeycombs create. The GM MAFs heat up a wire and figure out how much more energy it takes to keep the wire at the desired temp, so the temp of the incoming air affects the readings.

So would it be in our benifit to try to keep out Intake Temps down as low as possible? If so what would be some "realistic" things we could do to keep them down?

Yes, the more you keep the intake temps down the more power and less chance of detonation. You can either run a cold air style intake or build some kind of scoop to funnel outside air to the air filter area.

My cars already set up to have a Cold/Ram Air installed. :woowoo:

I have everything ready to go. I was also wondering is there significant benifits to building a Heat Shield around your K&N?

Any other suggestions?

Enes - here are some logs hopefully they'll take.

First one is 2-3rd gear pull Back when I first got my car up and running and it was holding 17psi. (or at least I think it was holding?)

you are most likely going over 46#, i tought there was a limit in dsmlink at that and then you have to switch to the other format of reading.. did you read about that on their forums?

I haven't been on there boards in some time. I have the original version of DSMLINK V2 still.

I know Howie gave me the 1.02 verson or what ever it was. but I haven't swapped to it yet. (I was afraid I'd loose my old data)

-Brian
ps: I'm going through my logs now to find a new one of when my gaskets blew. I was seeing 50.3lbs/min but also noticed my boost was climbing to 25psi as well?

so somethings up. cause at 17psi I was seeing 45-49lbs/min but now at 25psi I'm seeing 50lbs/min
