Just an fyi most junkyard dont sell stock trannies for under $600 now a days.
Hell I was paying $1200 for stock trannies in my fwd back in the early 2000's.
But before you out a number on what a tranny is worth call around and get quoted. Bring them to court and thats what hell be asked to pay.
Better yet call a dealership too and see what they charge for rebuilt trannies. They typically charge an arm and a leg for everything. Maybe you'll get lucky and the judge will decide a harsher punishment and have him pay there amount
