No reason to hardwire an aftermarket fuel pump until that pump, and any larger single pump, can't support your requirements. The 9/12v switch is a nice feature to keep the pump from overrunning the stock FPR at idle/cruise, and also helps keep the pump quieter and cooler, which should ultimately lead to a longer lifespan.

Yeah yeah, I've been slacking haha. I'll probably get that done tomorrow on my day off. May need your assistance sometime with flashing some tephra mods on the car as I am not too smart on that stuff yet :-D. I did pick up a cable, but still want to do more reading before I attempt anything.

Oh, and LOL @ trogdor being bant.

Anyways,

Motors= weak if you go with more than a stock turbo/e85 setup.
Drivetrain = built like a tank, if you have an 08, get the diff pin installed.
Fuel system= Get a Walbro and be done. If you go with a big stock frame turbo like a Black/EF4/BBX/etc, you may need more.
I don't see how me giving you shit after you calling an SRT-4 a fag wagon etc is bashing. I've had turbo Mitsubishi's its not nut swinging either. Asked a few questions from the owners here. Not trying to stir the pot or swing on anyone's short and curlies.

Good points. I am on a hardwired dw300 running e85 though and have not had idle or cruise issues, but I've only done 4-5 tanks so far and have no idea what my fuel pressure is at. I have heard of people pushing return lines off fittings, but mostly on pump. The car is getting another round of mods shortly though, so I might need to revisit.

Yes sir, Tom/Supraboy1. I'm currently winning the pump gas war (416 vs. 409), but I still need to get an E85 tune.

So why don't you get into the Evo X MR SST cooler business? I guarantee you that you won't be able to put together an equivalent kit for half that.

I didn't go to school for that and I don't care too. If businesses were that simple everyone would have their own business.

But thanks for caring.

Noob tax or a company that probably tested dozens of coolers and chose this as the best for one reason or another, then has the balls to sell it and stand behind it?

Reminder: sometimes you come across as very arrogant on the internet

Here's the coolers I planned to use to piece a kit together for my Envoy (M7B). Good coolers. Could definately piece together a kit for well under $200 I'd think.

Re: looking at Evo's. Few Questions.

The "noob" tax is RnD cost...it always has been. Some companies piece together something and price it for the market without doing much research but AMS is one of the few that track tests everything.

Are they expensive, hell yes...and yes you could piece one together for a lot less sure. But like Scheides said its for the company that supports the product.

Time is also money, getting your own kit to work properly takes time and something that could potentially take 8-16 hours or more of your time and multiple trips to the hardware store, well suddenly 500 doesn't seem so bad. Some people value their time more than others, while some prefer to do it themselves as they get joy from it.

I personally like AMS because they are the ones that figure everything out then everyone else copies them.

Great, now add in hose, fittings, hardware, brackets, a fan, fan shroud, and fan wiring, plus the R&D time to fit, install, and test.

Re: looking at Evo's. Few Questions.

I still dont see that adding up to double the cost haha, im going to have to agree with Brown and Bman.

Its obvious that higher platforms charge more for parts though, then say DSM parts. Its like comparing corvette parts to high end Porsche parts. Might be similar products in the end, like exhaust, but you pay more because they can charge more.

Theres nothing really scientific to a tranny cooler.. its just a tiny radiator.
