Re: looking at Evo's. Few Questions.

That's kind of funny that they make a cooler that wouldn't work with their pipe. I doubt with the mounting location that you would be able to upgrade the pipe in the future? Sounds like going with a 5 speed is a better option. I was hoping it was the other way around.

I don't either is a better option, you just need to decide which is for you. Do you want a manual or do you want an automatic? If automatic is your answer, is the extra cost of modifying and maintenance worth the convenience?

We've been having some fun out there trying them out. Just haven't found one that wasn't either roached or beat up. I know they're out there.. Just have to stop finding the ones that were traded in due to issues. 1 SST and 1 5 speed. So far it's been fun, but as I've said a few times they have really been wounded. Did test drive a Ralliart that was in great shape, just lacked some umph.

If you're willing the roadtrip it the X market down here is huge. Don Herring Mitsu is pretty involved with the local Evo club (NTEC) and he's always searching for good Evos, taking them in on trade, and just buying used ones from members who are selling.
