Awesome brochure pics as well as old skool MN dsmers!
This is why modding hughes' super stock 1g a few years back was so fun...breaking out the 5-knob afc and slapping in Evo injectors again, $100 3" exhaust, that thing was way too fun!!!
Still love these cars.

Damn right.
It may be EvoStyle now, but it's still DSMStyle at heart.

Hahahaha at the pics, oh boy how times have changed..
I remember riding in my old 1g in maybe 1994, my older brother bought it nearly new in 93 I think. I was maybe 8-9 years old, going to the history museum. haha

It's funny my brother bought that Laser from me and he sold it to a kid in Virgina MN. He just called me last week and said he saw it driving around still in one piece.

Look in the link that Kurt linked to rockfalls. He was just simply quoting what is captioned under the picture.

I think I still have the timeslip when Brent drove my car and ran 12.02 in 1998. It took me a year or two to duplicate that time.

Heck, I may have witnessed that run. Wasn't that before you owned it? Maybe early Spring of 1999??

I think you're right, I bought it in June 1999 as a divorce present to myself.

Re: A few pics from the wayback machine, enjoy!
Ahh, the good old days. I know I came in a little late on the "OG" crew. But man, what a ride! I still have a few of the old Minnesota Club DSM business cards on display in the basement next to a bunch of other memorabilia from that time.
I still remember my first time going to Midway (the old Mervyn's parking lot I believe) and, only by chance, I ended up following old man Hill down there. I thought "what a cocky license plate" until I saw what it could do. I then thought "it fits." I think that was sometime in 2001.
Now I'm starting to miss my Talon and want it back. I wonder if it's still running around?

Re: A few pics from the wayback machine, enjoy!
Here is a great picture from April 18th, 1999. The first MN 3/S trip to Rock Falls:
What is awesome, after 13 years, Oskar, Basol and I are still going strong with our 3/Ses.
later,
Curt

They are the smart ones. Do a few mods, run the car, see what it does and keep it that way. 13 years later the cars are still running.
